Blowing In The Wind
This UK-based Blowing in the Wind collection features brooches, earrings and necklaces to mix and match and complement each other. Each carefully selected natural fresh leaf is checked for imperfections and then painstakingly processed before being plated in precious metal to reveal the intricacy and unique beautiful shape. They are surprisingly robust but look delicate. Metals featured include shiny silver, 24ct yellow gold or platinum which is a soft-grey in colour.
Every leaf is unique and variations will occur but this is the beauty of owning a bit of preserved nature.
Druzy is a naturally occurring stone which is formed by tiny crystals growing over millions of years on top of a colourful mineral such as calcite, malachite or garnet. The surface glitters like powdered sugar chunks and really adds sparkle and a good depth of colour. Sometimes crystals are treated with a film of metal such as gold, silver or platinum. When titanium is used then the colours can really pop and purple, cobalt or rainbow colours can be achieved.
