About Us
Argenteus was established as an independent boutique jewellers in Oxford in 1994. Since then we have gained a well deserved reputation for being the place to find new, exciting and eclectic jewellery suitable for any occasion.
We've operated over a period of some 25 years and grew to a chain of 6 high street stores in some of the most prestigious locations in the country, including London's Covent Garden and the spectacular Bluewater shopping centre in Kent.
In 2010 we took the decision to move exclusively online in order to bring you the widest choice in design at the most competitive prices, and in 2015 we closed our final high street store in Oxford where we had opened our first all those years before.
In 2018 the company was sold to VegaModa Ltd but continues to operate under the trading name Argenteus offering the same levels of service and choice as always.
As well as a huge range of in-house collections we also feature ranges from some of the world's top international brands. But we're fiercely independent and only stock jewellery that we think is original, innovative but above all wearable.
We support British designers with a roster of craftspeople that includes some of the most talented artisans in the country, with many producing work exclusively for us.
Our signature collections are designed by our in-house design team backed by over 50 years of combined experience in jewellery design and creation.
The focus is on distinctive and stylish pieces from the simple everyday wear item to the spectacular indulgence. Often featured in high profile magazines, TV and at major media events, we can also count TV and film stars as well as catwalk models amongst our clientèle.
We aim to provide you with the ultimate in quality, design and choice. Our staff are trained intensively to provide you with the very best service and advice. These services include special commissions, where we can guide you through the design process and create a bespoke item to your exact specification.
