We work with some of the best designers and manufacturers in the UK and around the world to create a range of exclusive collections designed to compliment every occasion. From everyday wear to a stunning statement piece you’re sure to find an Argenteus collection to suit your individual taste and style.

All these collections are available to buy in both our high street stores and some are already available online with more being added all the time. If you can't find something online that you've seen in one of our stores please contact us and we'll usually be able to indentify it for you and arrange purchase through your nearest branch or by phone.

		Amber Collection - Download PDF Leaflet Amber is the fossilised sap of the giant prehistoric conifer 'Pinus Succinfera'. Estimated to be between 40 and 60 million years old, Its use as a trading commodity dates back to 8000 BC. Amber has had various names down the centuries. These include, 'Sunstone', ‘Stone of victory' ,'Adornment of the daughters of Rome', and 'Gold of the North'. Its English name derives from Ancient Arabia where it was burnt as incense and was known as 'anbar' or 'ambar'. Today, children living in the Baltic region repeat the legend of the Queen of the sea, Jurata, whose palace was built entirely of amber. When she made the mistake of falling in love with a mortal, the King of the Gods shattered her domain. Since then, it is said, multicoloured pieces of her palace have washed ashore to bring the warmth of her love to the fortunate people who find them. More recently, Peter the Great of Russia was presented with an entire room made of amber by Frederick William I of Prussia. Dismantled during WWII, it has long since disappeared. Amber has been credited with numerous beneficial properties both physical and spiritual. The Ancient Romans and Greeks used it to cure ailments such as asthma, rheumatism and internal problems. It has also been used as an aphrodisiac and to guard against witchcraft. It is now believed to be a good source of beneficial negative ions when worn close to the skin. Argenteus uses only use Baltic amber as this takes a higher polish than other types and is considered the finest in the world. The workshops that create these spectacular examples are chosen by us for their originality, and the quality. With infinite variations in the colour and appearance of amber, each item of jewellery is just as individual. Millions of years in the making, combined with stunning sterling silver designs. 		Aura Collection - Download PDF Leaflet A sumptuous collection of designer jewellery made from sterling silver, plated with a generous layer of 18 carat gold. Vermeil is a French term meaning silver gilt with a minimum gold thickness of 2.5 microns. The result is a lustrous long lasting finish. In the American White House, a collection of gold plated tableware is on show in what is known as the Vermeil Room. Each hand finished design in the Aura collection has been chosen to enhance the unique quality that only real gold can give to an exquisite piece of jewellery. The high caratage of the plating ensures cleaning and care of your jewellery is relatively easy. Tarnish should be minimal, meaning that a light polish with a specialist polishing cloth or a proprietary gold cleaner should suffice.
		Blue John Collection - Download PDF Leaflet Blue John is a semi-precious stone found only in the Peak District, North Derbyshire, England. Discovered there by the Romans nearly 2000 years ago. It is now the rarest natural formation in the British Isles and one of the rarest in the world. The origin of the name is uncertain. It may be a miners corruption of the French ‘Bleu-Jaune’,referring to the blue and yellow colours found in the stone. It was also a nickname used by lead miners to distinguish it from the common material, Zinc Blende, which was known as ‘Black Jack’. When the stone was abundant, large pieces were made into vases and other ornaments. Two Roman vases have been unearthed during excavations at Pompeii, and a priceless example can be found in Chatsworth House, Derbyshire. Sadly larger specimens are now hardly ever found. Today, the small stones used for jewellery are mostly found in aged petrified spoil heaps. These were left by miners in the 17th Century who were looking for bigger pieces. Here, superb gem quality examples are to be found. Working methods have not changed for centuries. The stone is stored for at least one year until it is thoroughly dry. It is then heated and soaked in resin which impregnates the crystals. The piece is then shaped on grinding wheels before the final polish. It is virtually impossible to find identical pieces of Blue John. The final result is as individual as the stone itself. Each design featuring this beautiful stone is carefully selected by us, and hand-crafted in Sterling Silver by English Craftspeople in the area where it is mined. Only selected jewellers stock this stone outside of the Peak District. As it becomes more scarce the remaining supplies are limited mainly to workshops close to its origin. Rings can be ordered to size within 3 weeks. Selected designs are also available set in Gold by special request.

		Fusion Collection - Download PDF Leaflet Dichroic glass has been used in industrial applications for many years, but more recently the startling beauty of this unique material has been used to make colourful, individual jewellery and artworks. Forged in the white heat of the kiln, each piece of glass is fused with a microscopic crystalline layer of colour made from tiny amounts of metallic oxides.
